Tex, the
Longhorn, has agreed to be a world famous traveler for our 3K M-F Class. Tex is our class mascot and he is famous in
Texas! He has agreed to travel across
the United States during the 2014-2015 school year. Tex will report back to us about what he
sees. Below is a list of things that we
hope that Tex will report back to us.

Tex is in Galveston, TX with Ms. Coltharp and Mrs. Normann-Petersen.

They spent June 16 and June 17 attending Texas Computer Education
association Tots and Technology. Integrating technology into the early
childhood classroom was the focus of this 2 day
Professional Development.

Galveston is a coastal city located on
Galveston Island and Pelican Island in
the U.S. state of Texas. Galveston is
208.3 square miles, its population is
47,762 people, is the county seat of
Galveston County.

Many residents and tourists of Galveston love to dine on seafood, especially shrimp. Shrimp and Stuff is Ms. Coltharp’s favorite restaurant and Bubba Gump’s is Mrs. Normann-Petersen’s favorite restaurant.

The shrimping business is one of the most prevalent jobs in Galveston as well as tourism.

We learned so much and can not wait to share with the class what we learned at Tots and Technology.

Mrs. Normann-Petersen learned alot
from Matt and Autumn about Google Hangouts. Autumn had a Google Hangout
with her class and the solider that they had adopted. Mrs.
Normann-Petersen is hopeful that we will be able to do a Google Hangout
with the solider that we adopted this year.
Ms. Coltharp and Mrs. Normann-Petersen enjoyed Galveston and Tots and Technology.

Tex's Clue for his next stop: This island is about 60 miles south of Houston, and is where
