Tex goes to a Wedding in Wisconsin

Tex, the Longhorn, spent the weekend of November 3, 2017 attending a wedding in Ixonia, Wisconsin.  Tex answered the following questions:
1.  Where is Tex?  On Friday, October 2 Tex left on Houston, Texas USA  by airplane and arrived in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.  He attended a wedding in IxoniaWisconsinUSA.

  1. What is the geography like there? Wisconsin is in the plains and is also part of  the Great Lakes of USA. The Great Lakes form the largest freshwater system on earth and consist of the following 5 lakes: Lake SuperiorLake MichiganLake HuronLake ErieLakeOntario


  1. What are typical foods that are eaten there?   What type of foods do you and family and friends like to eat?  The guests of the wedding ate chicken, pork, scalloped potatoes, and apple pie! The day after the wedding they ate pasties (pronounced past-eez), which are ground beef and chopped potatoes wrapped in a pie crust and baked.


  1. What types of jobs are there? The most common job in Wisconsin is manufacturing but there are a few agricultural jobs as well.

  1. What are the popular sports or games played there?  What popular sports or games interest you, your family, and your friends? Football,Green Bay Packers; baseball, Milwaukee Brewers; Tex and the members of the wedding party watched college football the night of the wedding!
